Our Story

Bill & Tammy Linardos met each other while both managing The Village Squire, with inspirations to one day open their very own restaurant. This dream became a reality on March 23rd, 2002 when they opened up Fradillio’s, which was soon renamed Billy’s, in Spring Grove, IL. Bill, to this day, is the best register employee we have had with his contagiously bright personality. Tammy, to this day, is the best fry lady we have had with her dedication to “hot fries, get your hot fries”. The married couple had a vision for downtown Spring Grove and on August 13th, 2015, they opened The Grove, a neighborhood bar, with a completely different menu & concept than us. Eight years later, The Grove is going strong, with live entertainment, a revamped patio, and a continuously updated menu. Bill and Tammy didn’t stop there and tackled yet another adventure with Frank, their long-time friend and business partner, by opening up Sunset Grill in Antioch. Overlooking Bluff Lake, Sunset has brought the area a nautical ambiance with a tropical food and drink menu. When the two are not working, they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, riding bikes, going out on the lake, and soaking up the sun! While Tammy and Bill may not be manning their mastered positions daily here at Billy’s anymore, you can bet both of them are behind the scenes working on paperwork, catering, and performing other day-to-day responsibilities of the restaurant business!
